I finally took down the Christmas tree.  We had company for the Superbowl and decided to avoid being mocked openly by our friends and peers.  It was time for it to go anyway.  I got a little sad taking it down, only because my mom did such a nice job on the decorations and such.  But I’m very excited to add to it next year and forever after until we get a new one. I grab the title of this blog from my friend Chris, who has an uncanny ability to sum up everything I need and want to say in much more concise and intelligent words that I can.  Last month I got an e-mail from Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor fraternity for two-year institutions.  This is kind of a big deal for me, because even though I had the minimum GPA and other credentials for national honor society in high school, I was not invited to join.  Neither was Chris.  I think he may have joined senior year, but I was not as lucky.
