Blogger Fail

So I haven’t been here in a while. My apologies. Things have gotten real intense, real quick with school and I lost track of time. But I have some good stuff for this thing on the horizon.

While I was looking at “clean recipes” the other day, I found a recipe for mango BBQ sauce to use on several dishes from Oxygen magazine. In the comments of several websites however, I saw that not a lot of people know how to cut a mango. I do. I used to work in a restaurant where we used mango in several dishes. So I cut one up and took some pictures to put on here to help. I’m calling it my, I Used to Work in a Restaurant series. Let me help you! I don’t know much, but I can share what I do. So look for that this week.

I did an experiment this past week because I realized I kept using the same Shakeology recipe over and over. I decided that I would try a new recipe every day. And I did. I was only disappointed once (Shakeology + 1 tsp Vanilla + water + ice = GROSS). So I would say that this was a successful experiment. Now I know that I can try different things and most of them are pretty tasty. There’s a new tropical strawberry flavor coming out next month. I can’t decide if I want to try it or not. I’m skeptical of smoothies that resemble pepto bismol.

I think I can safely say that I’m feeling the effects of Shakeology at this point. I’ve been drinking it almost 4 weeks, and I think my body was adjusting to all of the goodness that it offers before it could do any of the other stuff (i.e., help me lose weight). I’ve definitely felt it has helped reduce my cravings for junk. I also feel that I have constant energy all day. Not that I’m bouncing off the walls or jittery or anything, just no energy slumps in the afternoon. It also helps muscle recovery so I am able to better complete my Turbo Fire workouts. I’ve lost a couple of pounds. Nothing crazy (I have a lot more to go…) but at least I’m moving in the right direction.

That’s all I have for today, but I promise good stuff this week!
