You guys. You don’t understand. I am not a craft person. I have really grand ideas that never come to fruition. Having accepted this, I gave up on crafting. And I basically include everything in the term “crafting”. Am I an Idiot? Plus – Something Exciting!

As Joel and I were driving home from work this evening, the song Changing by Airborne Toxic Event came on. Now the words of the song aren’t important right now, but after the chorus Joel said to me, “so I guess this song is about a break up.” And it occurred to me, I listen to music, but I don’t hear it. Very rarely, if ever, have I sat down after a song and thought to myself, “wow, that song was about blank…” Am I an idiot? Am I missing a quintessential part of the music listening process? Check out that lady right there. That’s Chalene Johnson, creator of a whole ton of exercise regiments from Beachbody. How can you not be pumped to do a workout with that picture on the cover of it? Well, I kind of wasn’t. My thing with Turbo Jam is that I’ve had it for years and I’ve done it a million times, but always when I come back to it, I need to start at the beginning and work my way up to the intense and longer work outs. Like tonight I did the twenty minute routine, and pretty much did it low impact, and I’m exhausted and a sweaty beast. Slice me off a piece of zero-calorie humble pie, please. Continue reading

Finals Make My Brain Hurt

Happy Sunday! Decided to work out before studying and did 1.66 miles in thirty minutes on level 3/4 on the elliptical. Burned about 265 calories. Woohoo! I am going to participate in a fitness challenge starting next year that a girl I know from high school is sponsoring. You commit to thirty days of exercising and drinking Shakeology and then just see where you go from there. I think it will be a good way to kick off the new year. Continue reading
